Whether you're part of a club, camp, corporation, scouts, school, or tour group, Old Quarry is the ideal group destination for kayaking, camping, hiking, biking, lobstering, or any combination of these activities. Outfitters, birdwatchers, families, and groups of friends find something for everyone at Old Quarry Ocean Adventures.

Your group will have a memorable as well as educational experience. We teach the fundamentals of kayaking including kayak paddling skills, rescue techniques, navigation and safety, tides and currents, island and waterfront ethics, and dealing with weather. During group tours you will learn about natural history, the gulf of Maine, marine biology, geology, local granite history, the fisheries industry, Leave No Trace principles, tidal pools, and lighthouses.

Custom Group Kayaking Tours can be designed and customized according to your group's interests, experience, and expectations to provide an educational and memorable kayaking adventure.

Island Camping by Kayak, conducted by a Registered Maine Guide, allows you to explore the waters and the islands of the Stonington archipelago. The waters of Stonington are proclaimed by kayak enthusiasts to be the best kayaking experience on the East Coast.

Children and adults of all ages will enjoy our three hour Afternoon Sightseeing Cruise. This tour includes a natural history narration, a stop at an island swimming quarry, and a chance to haul lobster traps. The Hike and Bike on Isle au Haut combines a charter boat ride and a day of hiking and biking through Acadia National Park.

Camp at Old Quarry Campground, featuring spacious, secluded sites, picnic tables, and fire grills. Or enjoy spectacular ocean views from our newly built 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath rental home. Group members can swim the pond, hike the wooded trails, and share in the excitement of an old-fashioned Maine lobster bake.
